Green Switch Australia proposes to develop a large scale solar farm approximately 4 kilometres north of Jindera, NSW. The project is located across two landholdings within the Greater Hume Local Government Area.

The Jindera Solar Farm will occupy approximately xxx hectares of land currently used for stock grazing and cultivation. The proposed solar farm includes tracking solar arrays, a substation and energy storage. The solar farm would connect to the existing substation, to the south east of the project site that is operated by TransGrid.

The solar farm layout has been designed to work with the landscape and to minimise, as far as possible, the removal of vegetation.

We expect to submit the Development Application for the solar farm in mid January 2019. Once submitted, the Department of Planning and Environment will advertise the public exhibition of the Environmental Impact Statement and locations to view the documents. Green Switch Australia will also inform the community of this event.
